I love our fireplace. The columns on it are perfect and the mantle is quite large. Here is it all dressed up for Christmas.
My oldest boy was into trains sooo much when he was younger, so I let him talk me into the train stocking holders. They really are not my favorite and the antique brass isn’t my thing, but he loves them still and I can’t get rid of them. 
These stockings came from Pottery Barn, they are huge!! Seriously I can fit so much in there!! Super cute too with the names embroidered on them.
I love the garland and how full the mantle looks, it may not be what the style is right now but I am very happy with it.
