Valentine Chex Mix

Friday nights at our house is family game night.  We are on kick of playing Monopoly on the Wii.  It is so much fun, I honestly didn't expect that it would be so much easier and as much fun as it is.
I like to make a little special snacks for my guys to much on while we play together.  I came across this recipe over at Betty Crocker, it was really yummy, but we love puppy chow in our house.
What you need.

Melt together the Peanut butter, vanilla chips and butter in the micorwave on high for 1 and half minutes, stirring every thirty seconds until melted.

Mix the peanut butter mixture in with your cereal.

Stir until the cereal is well coated.

Mix half of the cereal in a zip loc bag with the powdered sugar and shake it up until it is well coated.  Meanwhile in the the other half of the cereal that is without powdered sugar add in the M&M's and sprinkles.

Spread both mixtures out on wax paper until it is dry,
about 15 minutes.

Mix the two together in a large bowl.

I divided mine up into little bags and decorated with ribbon and a cute printable that I found over at Anything But Perfect.
Pretty cute, huh?

Enjoy this yummy treat!!  Thanks for reading!!

1/2 cup white vanilla baking chips

  14. Such a cute idea for taking to my daughter's school......only problem is no peanut butter allowed, she has an allergic classmate. Any suggestions on what can be used instead of peanut butter? Would love to do something like this instead of candy!
