Sassy Water

Have you heard of this Sassy Water?  I had run across it on Pinterest a couple times and then yesterday I found it on a blog, Our Delightful Home, Mrs. Delightful shared a picture of a bug pitcher full of this yummy looking water.  I was hooked, you know why??  It has cucumbers!!  I was so pumped about it trying it! 
Here is the recipe
Ingredients:
  • 8 ½ cups water
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced thin
  • 1 medium lemon, sliced thin
  • 12 leaves spearmint
Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate overnight.  Enjoy!

This recipe is actually from the Flat Belly Diet, The cucumber and lemon are natural diuretics and the mint and ginger relieve bloating.  I’m not sure about the diet part of the drink, but it tastes awesome!!

P.S.  I love this pitcher, I picked it up at The Container Store this week and I love how the lid screws on and keeps things sealed.
