Deb’s Stamp Pad Guest Post

Today I have a wonderful guest post from Deb’s Stamp Pad!
Hi Fellow Crafting Friends, I am super excited to be a guest here today. My name is Debbie Buchanan. I live in the mid west in the country. I am a 12 year Stampin Up Demonstrator who loves to craft, bake, cook, and sew and everything else in the middle. So as a guest I thought the best way to share was to let you be a guest in my home by starting at the front door.

Many of my followers know how much I love before and afters. Well here is one that I have been wanting to share, but saved for this special post.

I had this ol’ umbrella that was still in pretty good shape, but we have oh about 30 umbrellas… well not that many, but many to most. So I used one that had the cute hook for a handle and ……

Ta da… tied it up closed and filled it with some 50% off silk flowers and a few left overs from other projects and hung it on the door for a great spring welcome. I copied an idea I saw on everyone’s favorite Pintrest!

Here is a closer shot of the blooms. I just hot glued them posies in place and tied on a ribbon and hung it from the door hook.

I love love love the way it turned out. Yes our front door is purple.. think it might be my favorite color? Using a broken umbrella would be the best use for this project to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle… but if ya have a few to many it works too. If you do not have one with the cute little hook handle, you will need to tie on or wire rig a hanger to be able to hang it on the door.

  1. Hello Chrissy,
Thanks for introducing us to Debbie. ;o) I love her spring umbrella door bouquet. What a great tip to use a broken umbrella. Down here in Florida it gets super windy, which equals many broken umbrellas. Happy Spring!
    Smiles, Paula
