My little guy is six and he is just starting to read on his own. The Leap Frog Tag system is awesome for allowing him to read a book without help. He loved this story, it has bears, witches and a girl with red hair who uses a bow and arrow! Even though the main character was a girl, he was hooked because of the story!
Brave is a Read-your-own book, which means that it has a more complex story line and vocabulary. He would listen to each page being read to him and then go back and touch the words to read it himself. Several of the pages also provided games and interactive opportunities. He especially like the archery word building challenge at the back of the book.

My husband, father in law and I took all three children (boy 6; twin girls almost 4) to see the movie Brave, and EVERYONE loved it. My son HAD to have the LeapPad game(even though Merida is a princess)… He loves that as well
