Family Game Night With Ice Age #CouchCritics

Family Game Night is alot of fun in the summer.  We love to just relax, hang out and spend time together.  The boys are at ages where they love to play with us!

Alot of times our game night revolves around a video game that everyone can play or at least take turns at.  After recently seeing the new Ice Age Continental Drift movie a couple weeks ago, we thought the renting the video game for the Wii would be fun!

I rented the game at a local Redbox in Walmart.  If you haven’t rented a movie or game from Redbox, I would highly recommend it.  It is so easy and very inexpensive!  To be sure that they had the game we wanted, we reserved it online earlier that day.

You can see how our movie rental and shopping trip went over HERE

Of course having Family Game Night means having treats!  So, when we got back home, I went to work making some goodies that would fit in with our Ice Age party theme.

I made these little candies to look like acorns.  They were so easy and the boys loved them!

You really only need three ingredients:

Chocolate Kisses
Mini Vanilla Wafers
Mini Chocolate chips

Directions:

Melt a handful of the mini chocolate chips.  Dip the top flat part of the Kiss into the chocolate and attach the vanilla wafer.  Dip the chocolate chip and attach it to the top of the wafer.

We also had a Blue Ice Juice drink.  I just bought a few raspberry blue juice drinks, poured them into jars and added the floating ice as ice bergs.  Making Blue Ice Slush would be yummy too!  You can see my recipe on how to make those over HERE.

One of the reasons my boys fell in love with this house is the theater type room in our basement.  The huge screen and projector make Family Game Night so much fun!

My guys LOVE trying out a new game and they had a lot of fun with the new Ice Age game for the Wii!
Sid is one of their favorite characters, so they had a great time being able to use him as one of the characters they played as.

They had alot of fun and gave this game a thumbs up!
