How to make Rolo Cake Mix Cookies Guest post by Two Yellow Birds Decor

Hi Everyone!! I am so excited to be guest posting here at The Taylor House today! Thank you so much Chrissy for having me!
Before we get started today, I wanted to introduce myself.
I am Jill and my home is at Two Yellow Birds Decor. You will find plenty of crafts, homemade decor, and recipes. I love to make cute decor for my house for cheap. Luckily my husband is my super handy man and helps me out with a lot of the things I do. I love being able to share my crafts with all of you!

Now let’s get started…..

I wanted to share with you a fun cookie recipe. They are called Rolo Cookies! These cookies are so YUMMY and the best part is they are so EASY to make!!!

I have made these for many parties before and the people there are always surprised to find the rolo in the middle. They have no idea they were going to bite into the yummy goodness:)
Here’s what you will need to make them:
-1 Devil’s Food Cake Mix
-1/2 cup Oil
-2 eggs
-1 bag of Rolo’s

How to make them:

The fun part of this is having to unwrap all the rolo’s!! OK not really, but the cookies are so worth it:) I do this first so I have it done and out of the way. Every time I have made this I have a few left over, but I still unwrap them all.
(Sorry, there is powered sugar on some of them!)

Pour the cake mix in a bowl. Add oil and eggs and mix together.
Next, you will cover the rolos with the dough. You don’t need very much. Just enough to cover the rolo completely.
This next step is totally OPTIONAL! I actually have never done this before with these cookies, but with this batch I thought it would be fun to have a touch of white in with the cookie. So I then rolled them in powdered sugar.
Then put them on a cookie sheet.
I pictured both in this picture to show you that you don’t have to do the powered sugar if you don’t want to!!

Then you will bake them at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
When you pull them out of the oven let them cool for a couple of minutes and then move them to a cooling rack or if you don’t have that tin foil will do!
I do think they turned out pretty with the powdered sugar!

Lastly…..EAT AND ENJOY!!!!!
This recipe makes just over 3 dozen cookies.

Thanks again Chrissy for having me today!
