Hey there Taylor House readers! This is Jessica from Prairie Girl to Southern Belle. I want to share an easy burlap wreath tutorial with you! Ready? Here we go!
I used a tired old Christmas wreath frame.
Cut the little wires holding the greenery on. Then wish you had a manicure before you decided to snap a picture of your hand.
Here’s what you’ll need. Bare wreath form, floral wire, wire cutter, and burlap ribbon. I actually used one and a half rolls of the burlap.
Cut a bunch of pieces of the wire. You’ll use these like twisty ties. Leave them a few inches long. It makes them easier to twist tightly. At the end you’ll go back and snip the ends off. Gather up the end of the ribbon and attach with wire. Make a loop and attach again.
That’s it. Now do this all the way around the outer part of the wreath.
When you get to where you started, go a second time. Attach your loop in between the pieces you already attached. I should have had a picture but I don’t. Just remember that you’re trying to fill in spaces.
Once you’ve gone twice around the outer ring, go twice around the inner ring. Attach your last loop and cut your burlap. The end should hide in your bubbles. Now go around the wreath and fluff the loops. You’ll want them to fill spaces but some of them won’t want to. Take out your handy dandy glue gun and just use a dab of glue to get them exactly where you want them.
Be reminded again that you need a manicure. And maybe remove the dog hair from your shirt next time.
That’s it! You did it! Now hang it up or give it to a friend! They’ll love ya for it!
My door is in need of a coat of paint. I think it’s screaming for a fun color!
I made this wreath to hang inside and want to leave it plain but you could easily add some fabric flowers or something like that to give it a great pop of color!

Great project! My Valentine’s wreath is STILL on my door and needs to be replaced but I didn’t have any ideas as for what to do next. This is IT! I think this wreath will take me through spring and Easter, I may add little decorations for holidays but the burlap looks wonderful!
