Nothing says summer like grilling out with Johnsonville Brats! Whether it’s camping out, a BBQ in the backyard or a 4th of July picnic, we always make several different varieties of brats.
I mean, let’s be honest, there’s nothing like a grilled brat that’s loaded with delicious toppings to make your summer grill out a success!
We decided to put a spin on the famous chili dog and create a BBQ Sloppy Joe topping for our brats. It was delicious and everyone loved it!
I like to make BBQ Sloppy Joes because they’re a little bit sweeter than regular Sloppy Joes. Here’s how I make them!
BBQ Sloppy Joe Topping
- 1 Pound Burger
- 1/2 Cup BBQ Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Ketchup
- 3 Tablespoons Mustard
On medium heat, brown your burger – I like to use a potato masher to break it up into small pieces
After the meat is completely browned, stir in the BBQ Sauce, Ketchup and mustard and simmer slightly
Add the salt and pepper if needed
Top your grilled Johnsonville Brats with the BBQ Sloppy Joe mix, dill relish, onion and a bit more ketchup.
