This Delicious Slow Cooker cheeseburger Soup recipe is an easy recipe your family is going to love!

Hi, everyone!  I’m so excited to be started an awesome new series here at The Taylor House!  Before we start I have to give a shout out to one of my besties, Jenn, for sharing this idea with me!

Sunday is going to be Souper Sunday where we will share a new Slow Cooker Soup recipe with you.  If you’re like me, slow cooker recipes are time savers!  I can throw the ingredients in the slow cooker in the morning and have dinner ready to go that night!

Being in Minnesota where it’s pretty darn cold in the fall and winter, I love making soups and breads for dinner.  I’m always looking for new easy recipes to try and I thought maybe you were too!  So, I’m going to share a new soup recipe every Sunday!

Slow Cooker Recipes, Souper Sunday

Today’s soup recipe is Slow Cooker Cheeseburger Soup.  I have to be honest, it didn’t sound that appealing to me but I had some great reviews (Jenn) and knew she wouldn’t steer me astray.  I had most of the ingredients on hand, so I decided to give it a try!

We loved it!  It was delicious and perfect on the cold rainy night that I made it!  I hope you give it a try too!

How to Make Slow Cooker Cheeseburger Soup

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1 chopped onion
1 Cup shredded carrots
1 Cup diced celery
2  tsp Italian seasoning
4 tablespoons butter, divided
3 cups chicken broth
4 cups peeled and diced potatoes
1/4 cup all purpose flour
3 Cups Shredded Cheese
1 1/2 cups milk
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup sour cream
Shredded cheddar, to serve

Instructions

Step 1 -  Brown the ground beef . Drain and set aside.

Step 2 – Sauté onions, carrots, and celery in 1 TBS Butter

Step 3- Place beef, vegetables, chicken broth, potatoes, and Italian seasoning in the Crock Pot.

Step 4- Cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Step 5- 30 minutes before serving In a small skillet, melt remaining 3 Tbs butter and add the flour. Cook and stir for 3-5 minutes or until bubbly. Add to the soup.

Step 6 – Add milk, salt, pepper, cheese and sour cream.

Step 7 – Before serving add a little more shredding cheese on top.  Enjoy!
