Is you’re not familiar with the health benefits of quinoa here are just a couple to convince you that this is something you should start adding into your diet.
Quinoa is high is protein, actually there are 8 different amino acids that your body needs. There is also a good amount of fiber in quinoa, so if you have problems getting your daily intake of fiber, start adding it into your meals. There are so many other health benefits of quinoa but these two are the most impressive to me and have made it worth adding to our diet with simple recipes like this Strawberry Quinoa Parfait.
How to Make Strawberry Quinoa Parfait
- 1 Cup Quinoa
- 1 Cup Sliced Strawberries
- Whipping Cream
Step 1 – Make your Quinoa according to the box instructions (this only take a few minutes)
Step 2 – Slice up your strawberries
Step 3 – Layer the quinoa, strawberries and whipping cream in dish and enjoy!
It doesn’t get much easier than this when you want to get protein and fiber in your snack and it’s a delicious little treat that you won’t feel too guilty about eating! If you want to exclude the whip cream you would use honey as a sweetener and add more fruits or use Greek yogurt instead of the whip cream. I love a delicious creaming homemade whip cream so I decided to make this more of a dessert for our family by using it.
