You can’t have summer without a little mess. Summer is the time to get outdoors, enjoy the world around you, and get messy. My family hates sitting indoors and wasting time away. We just love to get outdoors and enjoy the weather and have fun. Need a few summer activities in your life? You don’t want to miss these 10!

10 Fun Summer Activities You Need in Your Life

#1. Finger painting the sidewalk.

Whether you use sidewalk chalk paint or regular paint, painting the sidewalks is a fun messy activity that needs to be in your life. The best part about painting outside is that the next rain will wash away the paint. Make sure you use washable paint.

#2. Eat a BBQ at the park.

Venture out, as a family, and enjoy a BBQ at the park. I bet your family would enjoy eating a BBQ in the park, just as much as our family does.

#3. Take your kids for an ice cream cone.

Ice cream is one of those yummy treats that makes summer time even more fun. The next time your kids are bored or you want to treat them, grab an ice cream cone with the whole family.

#4. Plant a garden.

With scrumptious veggies, vivid flowers, and a fresh look, gardens are a great way to get the kids active and have fun this summer.

#5. Play in shaving cream.

Shaving cream is a lot of fun for kids, but it can get messy. Head outside with some shaving cream and practice making cloud creations, letters, numbers, or words. Get creative with a little food coloring.

#6. Create a mud slide for the kids.

Creating a mud slide for the kids if one of the most amazing things you can do for them this summer. Not only is mud cool on a hot summer day, it’s a lot of fun as well.

#7. Get colorful with a water balloon fight.

Add some food coloring or paint into your water balloons. When you throw them at each other, those who get hit will have a colorful display.

#8. Bring out the bubbles.

Summer is the perfect time to master your bubble solution. Create different bubble solutions and see which one blows the biggest bubbles.

#9. Create art.

Foster your kids’ creativity by letting them paint different pictures. Kids love to paint and get messy, so this is just one more summer activity to add to your list.

#10. Make the slip ‘n slide fun.

Add paint, soap, or shaving cream to a tarp to create the best slip ‘n slide ever. Your kids are going to think you’re the coolest parent ever for letting them do this kind of slip n’ slide.
