10 Unusual Uses for Dryer Sheets

Do you hate finding those pesky little dryer sheets in and around your newly washed clothing? If so, take a look at these 10 unusual uses for dryer sheets. When you give these 10 unusual uses for dryer sheets a try, you will find how practical and purposeful they can really be. Here is how you can get started using dryer sheets (both new and used) in new and exciting ways.

 DryerSheets

1. Keep your baseboards clean.
Take a new dryer sheet and wipe it along your baseboards. It will not only remove dust and dirt, but it will keep new dust and dirt from settling back on it. No more dirty baseboards!

2. Keep away mice.
You can tuck dryer sheets into any spaces where mice are a problem. Tuck them into car trunks, campers, and boats when you store them for the winter. You can also tuck them in attics and basements where mice tend to hang out.

3. Make fire starters.
Take old and used dryer sheets and stuff them into a toilet paper tube. When you need to start a fire, light the tube and toss it into the fire. The fire will start up quickly.

4. Remove hair static.
Are you tired of looking like you stuck your finger in an outlet? Keep a dryer sheet or two in your purse to help banish static filled hair. Just wipe the dryer sheet along your hair and static will disappear.

5. Remove pet hair.
Get rid of pesky pet hair when you simply wipe a dryer sheet over the surface. This works great on furniture and clothing, offering a fresh scent as it removes hair.

6. Keep shoes fresh.
Are your shoes stinky? Then tuck a new dryer sheet or two in them. Odor will be banished in no time.

7. Banish bugs.
If spiders are a problem, tuck a dryer sheet near the area where you tend to see them. This can be in drawers or even in cracks in your house. In no time you will notice a difference.

8. Freshen up your trashcan.
Does your trash can stink? You can always toss a dryer sheet or two into the trashcan before you place the plastic liner bag in. It will help mask the odor and keep the trashcan smelling fresh.

9. Clean eye glasses.
You can use a dryer sheet to clean your eye glass lenses, removing smudges and smears with ease. You can even use dryer sheets to clean windows and other glass surfaces. It is best to use old, used sheets for this purpose.

10. Freshen up your gym bag.
Is your gym bag starting to smell a little stinky? Get rid of the odor when you tuck a few dryer sheets inside of it. Switch the dryer sheets out every few weeks to freshen them up and keep your bag smelling great.

Give these 10 unusual ways to use dryer sheets a try! You will never look at them the same again.
