7 Reasons Why Becoming a Minimalist is a Good Idea
Are you kicking around the idea of becoming a minimalist? You know, you’re not the only one that is considering becoming a minimalist! It’s a way of life that is unlike anything else out there. Minimalism encourages you to live off what you need. Just the idea of it has been a life changer for me.
#1. It may help you become debt free.
When you’re thinking of becoming a minimalist, you are outweighing the pros and cons. One pro is that thousands of people have gotten out of debt because they’re focused on buying less. Owing people money is never a good thing, so getting debt paid off is always welcome!
#2. It may result in less cleaning because you have less stuff.
One perk to becoming a minimalist is that you clean less. Most minimalist live on the very least that they need. I am down for anything if it requires me to clean less. Cleaning really isn’t how I enjoy spending my time anyway.
#3. Life may stop being so darn expensive.
So many people work to buy more stuff and then buy more stuff. Minimalism is about less stuff. Perhaps you can work less and enjoy life more whenever you’re not chained to the idea of buying things make you happy.
#4. The amount of stress you feel may decrease.
It is a proven fact that stuff causes stress. You can say goodbye to stress when you have less stuff in your home. I can attest to this statement. I was telling a friend the other day that I have 10 pairs of black pants. WHY? No one needs ten pairs of black pants. It’s not like I ever wear black pants anyway.
#5. You may start to use “less” in life, therefore helping the environment.
It is true that we all use a lot of stuff and we buy a lot of stuff. As a minimalist, it’s a proven fact that you will buy less, which will result in helping out the environment even more.
#6. Life starts becoming less about things and more about people.
When we all die, we’re not taking anything with us. It is time we recognize the fact that life needs to be less about things and more about people. Things either take your time or your money.
#7. Changing is always a good thing, especially when it means “less” of something.
Less is more when it comes to anything in life. Don’t be afraid of change because it could be the very best thing to happen to you. Minimalist (living on less) is a good idea for so many reasons, you just need to find your reason.
