After School Snack Ideas

Back to School means planning some great after school snacks for when the kids get home. Get them ready for an afternoon of homework with some of these great snack recipes.

Quick Kid Friendly Breadsticks Recipe – You’ll be a hit with these quick and easy breadsticks. Serve with pizza sauce!

Fruit Dip – Serve fruit on skewers with this yummy fruit dip!

Homemade Potato Chips – Let them eat chips!

Peanut Butter & Granola Balls – Kids will love this very nutritious after school snack!

Hot Cheddar-Ham Wraps – A quick & easy after school snack that your kids will love.

Cheesecake Snacks – These are so easy to make. A great after school snack on the sweeter side.

Parmesan Cheese Straws – A yummy cheesy breadstick recipe the kids will love!

Jam Pockets – Kids can pick the flavor of these yummy homemade jam pockets. Roll out some refrigerated pizza dough, fill with cream cheese and jam and bake!

Pizza Pockets – Kids will love these homemade hot pockets! Similar to Jam Pockets (above), but fill with tomato sauce and grated mozzarella and parmesan and add meat or veggies.

Healthy Whoopie Pies Recipe – For the days when they want something sweeter.

Oven Fries – Kids love fries! Check out this recipe for homemade fries that are good for them!

Soft Pretzels – This one will take a little more time to make but you can turn it into an after school activity for the kids as well as a snack.

Easy Cheese Crackers Recipe – Here is one the kids can help make! Plus they will love to eat them!

Mexican Bean and Cheese PocketsIf your kids like Mexican style food, they will love these easy to make bean and cheese pockets.

Baked Sweet Potato Fries – These yummy fries are healthier than regular fries.
