Disclosure: I received free tickets to the show in order to provide this review.

Do you love Cirque Du Soleil performances?  My hubby and I saw one in Vegas about 4 years ago and loved it.  We mentioned the fact that our boys would love a performance but we were not taking an 10 and 8 year old to Las Vegas any time in the near future.

When I had the chance to review Amaluna, the newest performance touring the states, I was all over it.  The show was at the Mall of America in Minneapolis where you couldn’t miss it, there was a huge blue and yellow Big top out side the mall where the show was live.

If you have the opportunity to view this or any Cirque Du Soleil show, do it!  You will not regret it!

Information from the Cirque Du Soleil Website

Amaluna invites the audience to a mysterious island governed by Goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon.

Their queen, Prospera, directs her daughter’s coming-of-age ceremony in a rite that honours femininity, renewal, rebirth and balance which marks the passing of these insights and values from one generation to the next.

In the wake of a storm caused by Prospera, a group of young men lands on the island, triggering an epic, emotional story of love between Prospera’s daughter and a brave young suitor. But theirs is a love that will be put to the test. The couple must face numerous demanding trials and overcome daunting setbacks before they can achieve mutual trust, faith and harmony.

The abilities that these performers have is beyond mind blowing.  The talent and creativity that every single person on stage has will leave you questioning how they do it.  How can they bend like that?  How do they have the strength to do what they do every single night?  You have to see it for yourself!

I would love to go and possibly take my oldest daughter. We don’t get to do as much now that she is older and I think we would both really enjoy this!

Ahhh! How exciting! I have been dying to see a Cirque du Soleil show! I’ve watched tv specials and YouTube videos, and used them as reinforcement when I worked with kiddos with autism. Very exciting, thanks for the chance! How the heck do you get to do all these amazing things in Minnesota??? Seriously lucky!

Oops! Didn’t even see the entries yet – I’d probably take my Mom if Hubby was working late.
