Amazing Universal CityWalk Restaurant: VIVO

November 8, 2014   |   23 Comments

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Universal City Walk and Vivo Italian Restaurant.

Last week I shared a post about the amazing Cabana Bay Beach Resort that my family and I stayed at on our vacation to Orlando and today I have our favorite restaurant from the trip to give you details about.

If you’re familiar with Universal Studios Orlando, you know that there is an amazing Citywalk that’s full of food and fun.  One of the restaurants we tried out after a day of fun at the park was Vivo Italian Kitchen.  I love Italian food and this place really delivered on the food, staff and atmosphere.  We had a fabulous experience!  Check out the amazing food below as well as more details on Vivo.

About Vivo Italian Kitchen

From the moment you step inside, the aromas of simmering sauces, freshly baked breads, and sizzling meats fill the air. The restaurant’s Expo Kitchen takes center stage where guests can observe chefs mixing sauces, hand-crafting dough to make fresh bread, preparing homemade mozzarella, making fresh pasta right before your eyes, and sliding piping hot pizza pies out of the oven. The finest ingredients, like garden fresh vegetables, expertly cured meats, and carefully selected spices, all ensure that every meal is authentic, robust, and full of flavor.

You can see from my photo that the kitchen is just a few steps away from our table so I was able to get an awesome view of food being made.  The food blogger in me LOVED seeing the Chef’s in action!

I ordered the Fettuccine  Carbonara, which I was told was one of the best and most ordered dish at Vivo. I was not disappointed at all, the the grilled chicken breast, peas and pancetta were covered in a creamy Parmesan sauce that was to die for. I may have to try and make a version of this at home now, but I’m sure it will never compare.

Although I was completely stuffed from the amazing Fettuccine Carbonara, I had to indulge in a little dessert.  I was on vacation after all! Not only does this Chocolate Panna Cotta look amazing, it tasted just as good.  Such a creamy and delicious way to end the meal!  It was an amazing experience!

Celebrate the joy of modern Italian cuisine at Vivo Italian Kitchen. A delightful mix of the old and new, the restaurant features a sleek, contemporary décor along with tried and true family recipes perfected over centuries, brought up to date with a reimagined food pantry full of everything you’d find in Mama’s Kitchen.

I love Italian food, I have not heard of this place before. I wonder if we have any places like this around here, even if not the same, at least similar! Will have to look!

It’s great that there are some adult-friendly places on City Walk – and not all that cater to kids. Sometimes you just need an adult meal!
