I think by now that everyone here probably knows that I’m located in Minnesota and as you know, the winters are brutal. When it starts getting even a little bit warm, we’re out and ready to enjoy our very few months of sunshine.
One of the reasons we bought our house is because of the screened in three seasons back porch. It’s really my favorite place in the house. I thought I’d share a few easy back porch decorating ideas with you today that will make your outside area feel like part of the house too.
First, you need some comfy seating so you have a place to relax. We’ve had our wicker set of furniture for over 6 years and it’s still in great shape. I picked it up at the end of the season one year at a big box store when it was on clearance. I love it!
So, throw in a couple chairs, love seat, coffee table and whatever else you want for the seating. Make it cozy! Don’t forget to throw in some delicious wine too! Not only is it delicious but it’s such a cute way to decorate your space!
Be sure to add pillows too, just like you would on your couch in your living room. They make the seating so much more comfortable and it’s a great way to accessorize.
I always add candles, plants and little things to decorate the side tables and coffee table. I don’t add too much, but I do love to light candles at night when it gets dark out.
Find an awesome rug! The very best way to tie everything together and make the outdoors feel like the indoors is by adding a fabulous rug like this one from Rug Super Center. I love the pattern that I found and it’s so soft and a great quality rug that I know will last for years. It really pulls everything together.
If you’re looking for a new rug for any part of your house, I highly recommend you checking Rug Super Center out, I was so surprised by all the different options that were available! Plus, I was able to pick out exactly what I wanted and have it delivered right to my house. That means I didn’t have to leave the house to go shopping! Win!
