Back to School Organization: The Calendar

September 5, 2013   |   5 Comments

This post brought to you by BIC®. All opinions are 100% mine.

This week was the week that my boys headed back to school for the year.  That means that our schedules are going to get crazy!  Not only does school start but so does sports, lessons and much more.  With two kids running in different directions plus the activities that my hubby and I take on, we have to write everything down so we don’t forget.

When my boys start school, one of the first things that I do is get my calendar out and add in every single activity that we have coming up.  I use a planner that I can easily take with me in my handbag if I want to.

What I have found that works the best is using different colored pens on my calendar, each family member has their own color.

This year I used the BIC Atlantis® pens on my planner and loved them!  They were a smooth writing pen that made the activities pop out on the pages so that my eye was quick to pick up what I was looking for!   Instead of everything being in black, I used the colored pens so that we each had our own color on the calendar.   If you are like me and love school supplies, you will love these pens!

What you need for your Back to School Calendar:

  • Planner
  • Stickers
  • BIC Back-to-School Pens

Take some time at the beginning of the year to sit down with all of your schedules, calendars, menu’s and everything else you need to keep track of and put it all into one location.  Find just one calendar that you will use for everything and make sure to add everything in, including new events as they come up.

How do you keep track of all of the activities with your kids?  I would love to hear!

Great idea, can you please tell me where you purchased the planner, or what brand it is?

    Hi Chrissy –
Love the Bic pens! Color always makes a mundane task a little more enjoyable!!

But what I really like is your planner. Can you share where you had it made? Thanks!
