Disclosure: I’m thrilled to have partnered with Beneful on this project!
Recently I had the opportunity to team up with Beneful for the Beneful Dream Dog Park Project. I cannot begin to tell you what an amazing experience this was to be a part of! I had the honor of going to St. Louis to help spruce up the Frenchtown Dog Park through the Beneful Dream Park Project.
Let me give you a little background on the awesome things Beneful is doing. Beneful has been helping to build and upgrade dog parks across the country through the Beneful Dream Dog Park Project. This entire project originally started out as a contest.
One winning community was chosen each year to complete a Dream Dog Park renovation. Beneful saw what an impact this made and realized this need for dog parks. Because of this, the contest evolved into this project to reach out and help more communities across the country!
This year’s goal is to support 12 parks through donations and service days!
How cool is that?!?!
Now I fully admit to personally being a crazy dog lady. I love my sweet little Havanese pup Lily as much as I do the rest of my family members. And yes, I am guilty of Instagramming more photos of her than my boys most days. But I know I am not alone. I know there are a lot of fellow dog lovers out there that also include their dog in their kid count. Which is why this project is so awesome and close to all dog lovers’ hearts!
I don’t know if you have ever taken your furry friend to a dog park before, if you haven’t, you need to!
There are so many benefits for your pooch! Dog parks are an excellent source of off-leash exercise (this is great for anyone with a small yard or no yard) and dog-to-dog social interaction. Lily is an only doggie child so we set play dates for her to meet with her dog friends and get the socialization that she needs. She absolutely loves it (and she sleeps amazingly after a dog park visit)!
If you do not have a dog park near you or your dog park needs some TLC, be the voice for your community! Beneful joined forces with GoFundMe so you can setup a fundraising page to enlist local support for your new or existing park!
Beneful features a different GoFundMe project each month on their website! All you have to do is setup a GoFundMe and be sure your project is live on the GoFundMe page and it will be considered for the website. Check out tips on dog park renovations here!
Your best dog buddy will thank you!!
