The Best Places to eat in Jacksonville, Florida! These are some of my favorites from my trip in December, there were so many amazing places to eat but I love seafood so these were top of the list for me!
Safe Harbor Seafood Market and Restaurant – Delicious! I mean, there’s not a whole lot more that needs to be said about this restaurant!
I took my Mom along on this trip to Jacksonville, my Grandparents are just over the border in Georgia so we were able to see them a little bit too. One the trip my Mom and I went kayaking and ended up having quite the adventure, we were famished when we got done and needed food in a hurry.
We were lucky that we came across Safe Harbor Seafood and decided to stop in because it was one of my top three favorite places to eat while I was in Jacksonville!
This isn’t a fancy restaurant, it’s pretty casual. You order your food at the register and then wait for them to bring it out to you. I got the grilled shrimp and I talked Mom into ordering this Soft Shell Crab Poboy. She was a little unsure about it when I told her to try it, but it was really good and the sandwich turned heads by everyone around us!
The seafood was so fresh tasting and had amazing flavor too! You can order everything from clam chowder to the fresh catch of the day!
North Beach Fish Camp – North Beach Fish Camp in Neptune Beach, Florida opened in 2012. From our hotel on Jacksonville Beach, it was about a five-minute drive.
Our flight ended up getting into Jacksonville pretty late, later than expected and after getting a car and driving to our hotel we were starving. It was our first night and I was ready for something amazing.
I asked our hotel receptionist where we should go for amazing seafood and she suggested North Beach Fish Camp. We got right in without waiting and I ordered the crab legs while Mom got a delicious Flounder that was the Friday special. We devoured every bite and even had room for dessert, the white chocolate bread pudding! YUM!!
This restaurant was pretty casual and it’s in a great location where you can walk and enjoy Neptun Beach too. Make sure you check out the second story while you grab a drink and enjoy the beautiful views!
The Pier Cantina and Sandbar – Looking for lunch in the sun? Dinner with an amazing ocean view? Late night out dancing the night away?
The Pier Cantina and Sandbar has all of your entertainment needs covered. Located in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville Beach, The Pier has been serving up Jacksonville patrons since 2011. Their Mexican cuisine offers up a wide range of a la carte specialty tacos, monster burritos, and the best margaritas you can get your hands on.
We both tired the Queso Dip (I’m pretty sure I could just drink this it was so good!!) and then picked out different tacos to try. I had the Surf & Turf while Mom tried the Fish Tacos. They were both delicious!
This is a great little spot to stop after you’ve been out on the beach all day too! It’s casual enough that you wouldn’t feel out of place in a simple sundress or shorts.
We were lucky enough to try out a lot of different restaurants in Jacksonville, Florida while we were there. We found that having a light breakfast and then lunch in the early afternoon left us ready for a larger meal in the evening where we spoiled ourselves with amazing food!
These are just three of the (what I think) are the best seafood places to eat in Jacksonville! What have you found that’s amazing? I’ll be sure to give it a try on my next trip!
I was happy to partner with Visit Jacksonville on this trip but all thoughts and opinions are of course still my own!
