This cookie recipe has got to be the most simple sugar cookie that I have ever made. My boys loved them, I wasn’t sure how the frosting would go over with them but they loved the strawberry Kool-Aid frosting.
Let’s start at the beginning, my good friend Smart School House made some ADORABLE little Kool-Aid Candy Dots that got me thinking. My kids love Kool-Aid and she was a genius using it to make a treat for her kids. I thought it would be pretty easy to use Strawberry flavored Kool-Aid as a flavoring in our cream cheese frosting.
These Vanilla Cake Mix cookies with the Kool-Aid frosting were so easy to make! Check out the recipe on the next page!

Such an easy recipe! Remember, if you don’t make cake and cookies with box mixes you can make our Easy Sugar Cookies that we made from scratch. You can also use strawberries in your frosting instead of Kool-Aid if you want a substitute for that.
This recipe turned out well. I needed to add sugar because I didn’t use a sweetened Kool-Aid.
I am glad it turned out well for you Dawn!
