Instead of being the crazy cat lady, I’m known in my house as the crazy candle lady!
I also love finding new scents too! Anytime I find a new scent that I fall in love with I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. When I lit my first Chesapeake Bay Candle I knew I we were going to have a love/love relationship. I find myself constantly rotating them around my entire house because I am obsessed with so many of the scents – I can’t choose!
I have candles in every single room of my house (minus my boys’ rooms). I love burning candles that have a scent that are attached to a memory or place from the past. Growing up my mom’s house always smelled like fresh lilac in the spring. When I catch the faintest smell of lilac I feel like I am in my childhood home again.
Here are the scent addictions that I currently have in my home.
Bay Cottage is burning in the bathroom! This is a very comforting fragrance of cotton and fresh air. The scent of a clean linen blanket and herbal lavender mix perfectly with the authentic cottage woods of white amber, sandalwood, and musk. I like to keep this in my office too when the windows are open!
Milk & Honey is the first choice for our bedroom. It is a fresh scent of verbena, aromatic lavender, and cool garden mint. You can pick up hints of wild lemongrass and eucalyptus complement the citrus green core. This one smells so good my hubby lights it before I get a chance to!
Wild Lemongrass is one that I can put anywhere in the house. It spends the most time in the living room. White freesia and fresh bergamot give off a soothing, natural scent. A touch of honey-soaked almonds and tonka bean add a sweet richness followed by a splash of milky vanilla, rice flower, and acacia.
Blood Orange is always burning in the kitchen! It has an energizing, citrus scent of mandarin and blood orange. With an added blend of passion flower, melon, and mango this couldn’t smell more delicious!
I like to share my candle addiction with everyone in my life! A great candle along with a homemade foot scrub is my go-to gift for just about everything, it really makes a nice “spa” basket to spoil someone with on their birthday or holiday.
Check out our recipe on how you can make your own lemon foot scrub and pair it with an amazing candle to give as the perfect gift, can you imagine anything better than soaking in a hot bath with the candle burning and enjoying some pampering? Your friends and family will be thrilled with this gift combo!
They both work great as a stand alone gift or as add-on gifts to a gift card to add a personal touch.
