I’m so excited to share this recipe with you today. It’s become one of my kids FAVORITE desserts and guess what! It’s so much better for you than brownies, cookies and all those not so healthy sweets that they crave.
You’re not going to believe what’s in this Chocolate pudding that gives it the creamy texture. Have you ever tried Chocolate Avocado Pudding? Seriously, there’s avocado IN the chocolate pudding and I promise you that it doesn’t taste like guacamole and you don’t eat it with chips. Check out how easy the recipe is!
I got the inspiration for this recipe while I was in Seattle at the International Food Bloggers Conference where NINJA made a Chocolate Banana Sorbet, which was pretty yummy too!
How to Make Chocolate Avocado Pudding
- 2 Ripe Avocados, Peel & Chop
- 1/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 Cup Agave Nectar
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 Teaspoon Almond Extract
Instructions
Blend all of the ingredients together in your food processor or with a hand mixer until its smooth. Refrigerate.
I topped my Chocolate Avocado Pudding with fresh raspberries from my Mom’s garden (I have a yummy Raspberry Crisp Recipe coming up soon!) You could also add a little Whip Cream on top for the kids too.
This is a really sneaky way to get some nutrients into your kids diet, they think they’re just eating chocolate pudding but you know it’s much more healthy than store bought pudding cups. Plus, it tastes amazing! They’re going to love it!
What type of recipes have you made to sneak extra fruits and veggies into your kids diet? Or do you not give them an option and they eat what you give them? I know my kids do not love veggies as much as they should and this was a great way to get them eating more.
I just love how versatile avocados are – and with chocolate – YUM! looks delicious
I love that avocados can be used in so many ways too Heather! Thanks for stopping by!
