Christmas Crafts Ideas for Kids: Kool-aid Snowman

Christmas Crafts Ideas for Kids: Kool-Aid Container Snowman

Many families tend to drink a lot of Kool-Aid and lemonade in the summer. You may have an almost empty container in your pantry right now. If you drink Kool-Aid or lemonade in your house, don’t throw out those containers when they are empty. Use them to make a fun Kool-Aid Container Snowman. If you have enough containers you can make an entire family.

This is a super easy Christmas craft for the kids to do. The container can become a holiday decoration for the house, or you can even use them as great holiday treat gift containers. Will perfectly hold about 6 cookies or will hold a good bit of Christmas candy!

The kids would have fun decorating their own snowman and giving it to their teacher filled some yummy treats for the holidays.

Christmas Crafts Ideas for Kids

How to Make a Kool-Aid Snowman:

Here is what you need:

· Empty and clean Kool-Aid or Lemonade Container

· Black and Orange Permanent Marker

· Christmas Fabric or Ribbon

Here is what you do:

1) Draw the face and buttons onto the outside of the container.

2) Tie a piece of Christmas fabric or decorative ribbon around the container for a scarf.

That’s it! So simple but they turn out so cute. And you are likely using items you already have around the house, as well as recycling and item that would have ended up in the trash. So this craft project actually cost us $0.

My favorite crafts use recycled materials. It’s good for the earth plus it’s a great lesson for the kids. Plus usually can be done for free or very cheap.

Whether your kids make these and use to decorate the house for the holidays, or you use them for a holiday treat gift container, they will be fun to make and get everyone in the holiday spirit.
