Clothespin Easy Math Activity with FREE Printable

January 7, 2014   |   Leave a Comment

Here is a fun easy math activity for kids that are ready to get started with some easy addition or need some extra practice with easy addition problems. Kids can be ready to start addition at various ages, but many are ready to be introduced to the addition concept as early as preschool.

The kids will have fun matching up the addition question on the printout to the answer found on the clothespin. Some may need a little help as they get started. Others will be ready to dive in. So here is how to set up this Clothespin Easy Addition activity for your child.

Easy Math Activity

Here is how you can make the Clothespin Easy Math Activity:

1. Print out the Easy Addition Printable.

2. Laminate the printout or tape/glue to cardboard or construction paper. Just something to make it a little more sturdy.

3. Cut the sheet in half lengthwise so that you have two strips of addition problems.

4. Write all of the answers on the top of 10 clothespins. You can write a couple extra possible answers on clothespins to give them more to choose from and make it a little harder. Or you can just give the 10 correct answers.

Easy Math Activity

This is such a fun way to help them with their early addition. And it will also help with some fine motor skills. Opening the clothespins is a great fine motor activity.

So whether your child is already learning addition at school and needs a little extra practice, you homeschool and are looking for a fun way to introduce addition, or your preschooler is ready for the addition concepts, this Clothespin Addition Activity is a fun one!
