I’m going to get honest with you guys today, I do NOT drink nearly enough water. I drink way too much other stuff like coffee, pop, tea, etc. I’ve just never been a big water drinker but as I’m getting older, I’m really starting to see how I need to make this a new habit for my health.
When I was asked to take the Aveeno Daily Challenge and make a commitment for three weeks to do something good for myself, I knew that trying to drink more water was exactly right for me.
I’m just not someone who can drink plain water all the time, I like flavor but I don’t like to buy flavored water and I do love to make my own flavors at home. Today I have a couple tips and tricks for you to get your water intake each day AND if you’re like me try a delicious and refreshing Cucumber Lemon Water recipe that will make drinking water easier for you.
Here is how I plan to make myself get my daily dose of water, I found a pitcher and figured out how many times I need to fill it each day to get my 8 cups a day in. I have to fill this pitcher twice and drink it all myself to make sure I get it all in. It’s easier for me to watch and know that the end is in site!
Plus, having water with a taste is important to me. I love cucumber and lemon so why not mix them and make a delicious Cucumber Lemon Water to enjoy? I usually just drink Cucumber Water and even have a post that I wrote about the Benefits of Cucumber Water if you want to check it out.
Here’s How I made my Cucumber Lemon Water
Ingredients
2 Quarts Water
1 Sliced Cucumber
2 Sliced Lemons
Instructions
Mix everything together in a pitcher and let sit for a couple hours in the refrigerator, enjoy over ice!
I’m so excited to be participating in the Aveeno Daily Challenge where I’m working to get myself hydrated as well as use the AVEENO® Daily Moisturizer every single day to make my skin look amazing!
Be sure to follow along on my Facebook page where I’ll share some flavored water recipes, updates, tips and more over the next couple weeks!
Trying this recipe on my kids today. Thanks. ds
