Disney Cruise from a Tween Boys View

April 3, 2018   |   Leave a Comment

Disney Cruise from a tween boys view. My son was excited to share his favorite parts of the cruise with everyone! You’ll be surprised what a kid his age loves the most on a fun cruise that’s full of food, fun, and sun! Be sure to check out our best tips for first-time cruisers if this is all new to you!

Hi, everyone! My name is Blake, I’m 12 years old and love traveling with my Mom (well, my whole family really). I was lucky enough to miss school for a week so I could spend five days in the sun on the Disney Magic! Disney Magic is one of the four Disney Cruise ships and in my opinion, it’s the BEST! Here are my top FIVE favorite parts of the cruise and why I think that every tween boy will love it just as much as me!

Disney Cruise from a TWEEN Boys View

The Food ROCKS

This says a lot because my Mom is an amazing cook! My favorite meals on the Disney Cruise were the Mac & Cheese, I think I had this at almost every single lunch and sometimes dinner. The Surf and Turf were pretty amazing too!

My favorite dessert was actually on Marvel Day At Sea, they made us a special brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and a white chocolate Marvel sign! It was delicious! We even had special menu’s in the shape of Thor’s hammer and Captain America’s shield!

On a Disney Cruise, you have dessert with every meal! Don’t skip it, it’s the best part!

Castaway Cay is SO COOL

My Mom said that Castaway Cay would be pretty cool but I wondered how it could beat the ship and everything we had to do right there. When we finally were able to dock and check out the island, it was fabulous. The water was teal blue and so clear! We went snorkeling together, it was my first time and it was so cool!

Castaway Cay Waterslide

There’s a large water slide out in the ocean too! You can swim out just a little way and plunge down into the water! How awesome is that?

Castaway Cay Island

I think my favorite part was renting the bikes and riding all over the island. We found a lookout tower and saw our ship far in the distance. It was so pretty!

Castaway Cay Island

There was a delicious place to order smoothies too – this one was called “Worth Melting For” and it had Fresh Passion Fruit, Pina Colada and Blue Curaçao (non-alcoholic syrup)! It was the perfect drink on a hot day at the island!

The Shows are AMAZING

Every night after dinner we had a show to watch, we started with Tangled and ended with Disney Dreams (it was my favorite)! Each show was fun to watch and we really looked forward to the next night after we finished a show!

There were even shows during some of our meals! Dinner and a show!

Marvel Day At Sea

Marvel Day At Sea

We were onboard during Marvel Day At Sea!!! It was the coolest thing EVER! We started the day with a meet and greet with Spider Man, Black Panther, and Iron Man! They actually talked to us and answered our questions too!

Spider Man

There were different activities all day long too! We had a chance to actually learn to draw comics! I found that I’m pretty good at it and I’m working on it now that we’re back home!

Drawing Spider Man

There were special decorations throughout the ship for the day and we even just randomly ran into Starlord when we were walking back from lunch!

Dinner was special too, you probably saw my brownie up above! It had a Marvel chocolate in the middle of the ice cream!

Our bed even had a Marvel sign laid across the end AND they made a Thor hammer out of the towels!!

Marvel Day At Sea

The night ended with an amazing show and fireworks that I will never forget! It made the trip fabulous and I feel so lucky that we were able to be part of Marvel Day at Sea!

Pools/Water Slides KICK BUTT

We boarded the ship pretty early and went straight to the pools! They were completely empty and we had the waterslides to our selves! My Mom enjoyed an ice cream cone while my cousin and I went from one pool to the next slide and then all over again. It was so much fun!

There are one main pool and two waterslides plus a small area for younger kids to play. The adults have their own pool too we had to stay out of that area so we didn’t splash too much!

Disney Magic

These were my favorite parts of the Disney Cruise, I can’t wait for my parents to book our next trip because they are so much fun and it looks like each ship is different!
