DIY Chocolate Peppermint Lip Gloss

I’ve just recently decided to give Young Living Essential Oils a try and boy have I made some fun and amazing craft projects with them!  I thought for the Holidays I would make a Chocolate Peppermint Lip Gloss to give a few people with their beauty basket gifts.  These turned out so well and I cannot wait to try more Essential Oils and make different versions!

If you’re looking for a simple craft idea to make for friends or family, they will love this!  My son thought I was crazy but after he tried the lip balm he was sold and uses it all the time now!  I love that!

Easy to make Homemade Chocolate Peppermint Lip Gloss using Young LIving Essential Oils!

How to Make Chocolate Peppermint Lip Gloss

Materials You Need

  • Lip Gloss Containers
  • 1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Shea Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Grated Beeswax
  • 6 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 2-4 Chocolate Chips

Instructions for Making Chocolate Peppermint Lip Gloss

Step 1 – Use a knife or grater to grate or cut up the beeswax

Step 2 – Place the Coconut Oil, Shea Butter and Beeswax in a microwave safe bowl and melt on high for 30 seconds, stir gently and microwave for another 30 seconds.  The ingredients should be melted and look like the consistency of cooking oil

Step 3 – Mix in the Chocolate chips, the heat should melt them without having to microwave it again

Step 4 – Mix in the Peppermint Essential Oil

Step 5 – Pour the mixture into the Lip Gloss Containers and let it harden before using, this took about 5 minutes.  This made 6 small containers of lip gloss.

This Chocolate Peppermint Lip Gloss is the smoothest lip balm that I’ve every used, my little guy even snagged a jar for himself!  He loved it too!
