DIY Peppermint Lip Scrub

December 5, 2014   |   5 Comments

I am on a DIY Beauty kick this month!  I have been finding new and creative ways to use my Peppermint Essential Oil because let’s face it, Peppermint is a really big Christmas scent that everyone loves.

Today I made  Peppermint Lip Scrub that took me five minutes to put together and try out. It’s so simple and one of the best scrubs I’ve used, don’t you love when these things happen?! Intimidating projects turn out to be no big deal that anyone can make!

Be sure to make our  Chocolate Peppermint Lip Gloss to use after you scrub your lips, it’s the perfect combination and would even make a great gift set!

I am LOVING making and sharing these DIY Beauty posts with you, they’re not the normal craft posts or food posts that I have done in the past but they’re so much fun.  PLUS, I am loving the results and the products that I’m making!

Not to mention that I’m totally hooked on my Young Living Essential Oils, they are amazing!  I wish I would have started using them years ago!

Olive oil will work if you don’t have the coconut oil.

The coconut oil – should it be liquid or solid? I have a large jar and some of it is liquid and there are some solid chunks. I made the scrub and it is runny. What do i do? – Thanks.

You can find the lip containers on amazon and the oils are young living essential oils.

I like the recipe. However Young Living oils are overpriced. So are Doterra’s. I use a lot of oils, including making my own pills and remedys for various ailments. Another company for great quality oils is Plant Therapy. Their prices are more reasonable and their customer service is unmatched. Plus you are not paying extra for a tiered-stlye marketing company with “reps”.
