With a 4 and 7 year old , plus a Momma who insists on (mostly)healthy snacks, yogurt is a daily staple in our house. Sometimes for breakfast, some days its a mid afternoon snack , and often it even serves as dessert. Their favorite way to snack on it is frozen so I always keep a box in the freezer for them. I feel really good about giving them Chobani Kids tubes and pouches because I know they are a good source of calcium, contains 25% less sugar than the leading kids yogurt ( and 2x the protein), and come in a delicious variety. With flavors like Mixed Berry, Vanilla + Chocolate Mint, Strawberry that now come in Disney Juniors Doc McStuffins containers means I always have a couple of happy snackers on my hands! They all contain less than 5% lactose, are gluten free, preservative free, natural, and contain live and active cultures-this makes for a happy Momma! We keep a box of tubes in the freezer and a box of pouches in the fridge. Brrr, that is a cold snack even here in the heat of Florida, so mom came up with a quick and cute way to keep little hands from getting chilled while they enjoy their chilly snack- Doc McStuffins Inspired Yogurt Sleeves (no sew!) Ready to make a cute felt yogurt sleeve to keep their hands warm will they devour a healthy snack? These take less than 5 minutes and you may already have the supplies on hand. Use mine as your inspiration but you can create any color combo or theme that your child likes. You could also make these for the pouches as well, just measure the width and add an inch.
- Pink, purple, tan felt
- brown sharpie
- hot glue gun/ glue sticks
Cut a small heart from your pink felt, and a small band aid shape from tan felt.
Hot glue each on one side of the purple felt securely. Fold purple felt in half with heart and band aid on the inside. Run a generous bead of hot glue down the longer side, press firmly into place. Glue the same way a long the bottom, allow to cool and harden completely before turning right side out. I just hand wash them and set the upside down to dry if they happen to get a little yogurt on them.
