This post brought to you by FrogTape brand painter’s tape. All opinions are 100% mine.
How do you usually decorate your pumpkins for Halloween? If you’re like me, the mess of cutting them up often keeps me from making the cute faces on them or letting my boys carve crazy things.
I decided to try a new approach this year by using FrogTape® Shape Tape™ which is an awesome painters tape that comes in fun shapes to create a beautiful and fun project! I had the Chevron style Shape Tape and wanted to make a fun pattern on my pumpkins.
How to make Easy Decorated Pumpkins
Materials you need
- Pumpkin
- FrogTape®, Shape Tape™
- Paint
- Paint Brush
Instructions
Step 1 – If you are using a fresh pumpkin, make sure to wash it off. I used a plastic pumpkin for this project.
Step 2 – Apply your Shape Tape to the pumpkin in the pattern you want.
Step 3 – Use a pen or marker to trace on both sides of the tape to create the pattern you will paint.
Step 4 – Remove the tape and fill in the lines with paint. That’s it! Simple and easy to make a fun Pumpkin this fall! I love how easy this product is to use and that the paint didn’t bleed under the tape!
Are you wondering what FrogTape®, Shape Tape™ is all about? Here is a little information about why I love it!
Users can stagger the placement of the tape, or vary the widths, for personalized and unique designs. Shape Tape™ is treated with patented PaintBlock® Technology, a super absorbent polymer that reacts with the water in latex paint and instantly gels to form a micro-barrier that seals the edges of the tape, which helps prevent paint bleed. It’s designed with a slit liner on the back of the tape for easier application – remove one half of the liner, position the tape and remove the other half. Shape Tape™ is available at participating Lowes and Walmart locations, and all Menards stores across the United States.
