Garlic Bread Pizza recipe is our new favorite recipe, I’m so excited to share the recipe with you today!
It’s no secret that my family loves pizza, and we eat a lot of it! So, when I had the chance to try out some of the Classico® pizza sauce, I was pumped to make a new pizza creation.
I usually use my Easy Pizza Crust recipe as the go to crust but I wanted to try something new. Change things up a little bit and try to make a new version to alternate into our pizza from time to time.
What happened though, was I found a NEW favorite recipe, my family told me it was the best pizza they have ever had. Really? The best? I love my guys and I love when new recipes turn into family favorites and go to meals.
When we received the Classico® pizza sauce in the mail, I went to their website for some inspiration and ideas on recipes. There were some delicious looking pizza on their site but I decided to use a couple of my favorite foods and combine them into one: Pizza and Garlic Bread.
You’ve seen the Garlic Bread pizza at the store and in restaurants, but have you ever made one? They are really easy and delicious to make!
How to Make Garlic Bread Pizza
- 1 1/8 cups warm water (100-105 degrees)
- 3 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoons honey
- 1 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon Garlic Salt
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
Step 1 – In a large bowl (I use my Cuisinart Mixer) mix your warm water, yeast, honey and olive oil. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes or until it is a little foamy
Step 2 – Add your flour, salt, garlic salt and basil. Knead for about 5 minutes (I use my dough hook)
Step 3 – Place in a greased bowl and let rise for 30 minutes
Step 4 – Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Step 5 – Punch the dough down and place on a floured surface. Shape the dough into the desired pizza form and let rest for 10 minutes
Step 6 – While the dough is resting melt your butter and mix in the garlic and parmesan cheese.
Step 7 – Brush the butter mixture on the edges of the pizza crust
Step 8 – Add your Classico Pizza Sauce onto the crust then your toppings (we used sausage and cheese)
Step 9 – Bake your pizza for 25-35 minutes. You can brush more of the butter mixture on the edges after removing the pizza from the oven. Enjoy!
This pizza was amazing! We loved it! The combination of the Garlic Crust with the Classico Pizza sauce really hit a homerun for my family!
