Even though my boys are a little older we still have been doing the Elf On The Shelf our house. They love it and were looking forward to the arrival of Fred since before Thanksgiving.
If you haven’t heard about the Elf On The Shelf, let me tell you how it works. The Elf arrives at your home with a book for you to read to your kids and lives in your home from now until Christmas. The Elf is watching your kids and reporting back to Santa on their behavior, the good and the bad.
Every morning the Elf comes back to your house and the kids wake up and search for where it’s at. The first morning they found Fred on the mantel so he was in plain site and easy to find. Fred is pretty mischievous though and we have found him getting into toys, games and food around the house.
I decided to share where we find Fred each morning and give others who use the Elf On The Shelf some ideas that my boys have really loved.
This morning we woke up and found Fred in the middle of playing a Nintendo DS game on the couch. My little guy was a little upset because you’re not allowed to touch the Elf or he will loose his magic, that ment he wouldn’t be able to play his DS at all today. This isn’t such a bad thing if you ask me.
We have a fun Elf On The Shelf Pinterest board where you can find more ideas and watch for more posts coming this month with where Fred ends up.
You can pick up your own Elf On The Shelf at Target and many other stores or just order it online. You still have plenty of time this year so start tonight!
