Guess where we found Fred the Elf today! He was using my Keurig and making himself a warm cup of hot chocolate during this cold Minnesota morning!
This is just a fun little tradition to do with your kids, if you have the extra time and energy during the month of December. Just remember, it’s a big commitment because the Elf needs to move every night after they get back from the North Pole.
The Elf On The Shelf is a tradition that we started in our home last year but my kids are a bit older so this might be the last year that Fred the Elf visits our home. We’ll see.
If the Elf On The Shelf is new to you, let me explain how it works. Early in December the Elf visits your home with a book to read to your kids explaining that they will be watching them for the month. Every night their Elf will fly back to the North Pole and report to Santa on their behavior, good or bad. So, they need to be on their best behavior.
We have a fun Elf On The Shelf Pinterest board where you can find more ideas and watch for more posts coming this month with where Fred ends up.
You can pick up your own Elf On The Shelf at Target and many other stores or just order it online. You still have plenty of time this year so start tonight!
Be sure to check back tomorrow to see where Fred ends up! You can also check out our Elf On The Shelf Pinterest Board for more ideas or our Elf On The Shelf page with all of our ideas to this point.
