I think most people that know me, know that I’m slightly obsessed with my slow cooker. There’s not a week that goes by that I don’t use it several times. I adore creating recipes for my blog but there’s so many days when blogging is really just an office job and having dinner in the slow cooker at night is the only way we actually get a meal put together. Everything from breakfast to dessert goes in that heavenly kitchen appliance and the meals are never short of amazing. We have a list of our Slow Cooker Tools that we think everyone must have!
We’ve even started a Slow Cooker Facebook group where there are new recipes being shared every day, with over 3,000 members in the group we’d love to have you join! Head over HERE and request to be part of the group and you’ll be added right in!

Slow Cooker Tools you Must Have
Crock-Pot: Programmable Cook and Carry I’ve had several different slow cookers and I always come back to this one as my favorite. I love that I can close and carry it when I’m headed to a potluck, tailgate, etc. and I don’t have to worry about it spilling. It’s by far my favorite!
Tablet Stand – before this I used my phone all the time and it was less convenient. This really helps me to see the recipe better that’s why it made my must have list!
Hands Free Ziplock Bag Holder – This isn’t such a big deal for making slow cooker meals, but it comes in really handy with left overs. You can add them right into the bag and then pop them in the freezer. I would recommend letting them cool down first before putting them in the bag.
Meat Shredders – These are great for pulled pork, chicken or beef, easily shred the meat to use in sandwiches or tacos! Another great use for these are to actually lift roasts and large pieces of meat out of the slow cooker.
Small Slow Cooker for Dips – I actually have three of these. They come in really handy when you have parties to keep dips warm. We use them for everything from nacho dip to chocolate dip!
Spatulas – These certainly aren’t just for use in the slow cooker, but they do come in handy when I need to mix things or scrape down the sides of the slow cooker. Finding a fun color is always a huge plus!
Tongs – Having tongs to use when you’re lifting meat out of the slow cooker is a huge plus. I used a couple forks for years to do this and after I got a couple sets of tongs I wondered why I hadn’t gotten them sooner!
Wooden Spoons – Just like the spatulas, these come in really handy when you’re mixing soups and recipes in the slow cooker.
Spoon Stand – This makes my must have list because it helps keep my counters clean! You could just use a small plate or paper towel too but this spoon stand is always on my counter and in use!
McCormick Roast Seasoning – Here’s a little secret, I don’t just use this on roast. I use it in stew, beef sandwiches and so much more. It’s just a overall good seasoning and I always have several in the pantry.
Rubbermaid Containers – At our house, I always make a double batch of everything so we have leftovers to eat another day. Having good containers and lids on hand is really really handy!
Slow Cooker Easy Recipes – Of course having delicious recipes to make is really important! Check out our FREE Slow Cooker Book for inspiration!
Slow Cooker Liners – One of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made is NOT using a liner. It’s so much easier to just throw that puppy away after I’m done cooking and not spend hours scrubbing out the slow cooker!
Lunch Sized Slow Cooker – I love love love this! If I worked outside the home, I would use this all the time! Take your lunch to work and have it ready to eat on your lunch break! Genius!!!
Herb Scissors – These are great for adding herbs to your meals. They work really well too! You can use them on a lot of different recipes in the kitchen not just slow cooker!
Potato/Food Masher – This is a great tool for mashing potatoes, ground beef, etc. I use it in the slow cooker all the time.
