Fall Craft: Tissue Paper Pumpkin

October 2, 2013   |   Leave a Comment

The weather is cooling off and the leaves are starting to turn.  That means that Fall and Halloween crafts are in full swing.  Everyone is making Pumpkins and ghost projects with their kids or to decorate their home.

I have to admit that I have not decorated my house for fall yet, which feels like a totally fail in my book.  Tomorrow!  It’s on the list for tomorrow!

Today we have a really cute and easy Tissue Paper Pumpkin project that your kids will love to make because it involves cutting and glue.  These are always the projects that my boys loved to make.  This Tissue Paper Pumpkin is simple and can be used as a window decoration, garland or an activity for the kids.

How to make Tissue Paper Pumpkins

Materials

  • Tissue Paper
  • Pumpkin Sheet (Print it FREE)
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Markers
  • Construction Paper

    Instructions

Print out your FREE Pumpkin Template that we made for you to use!

Cut or rip colored tissue paper into small 1 inch squares.

Apply a thin layer of glue to a small section of the pumpkin at a time.

Using the eraser end of a pencil, wrap tissue paper tightly around the end and attach it to the pumpkin.

Then cut around the pumpkin and glue onto a piece of construction paper.

Use your Pumpkins however you want!  These would look really cute in a window or make a bunch of them and string them together as garland to hang on the fireplace at thanksgiving.  You could even make small tissue pumpkins and use on plates with names as the place setting cards.

What type of Halloween and Fall projects have you been working on?  Do you get your kids involved in crafts like these?  I’m sure they would love them!
