Five Minute Homemade Ice Cream

June 11, 2012   |   13 Comments

Have you ever made homemade ice cream?  I never had because I didn’t have an ice cream machine, until I found this recipe!  This is so yummy and easy, such a great summer treat, who doesn’t love ice cream?! And it’s an easy  five minute homemade ice cream that you don’t need an ice cream machine to make, you just use your blender or food processor.  You can make so many different flavors and really make what you want, mix fruits and make a special flavor that you can’t buy any where else!

homemade ice cream

How to make Homemade Ice Cream with a blender.

Ingredients

  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup heavy Cream

Directions

Combine the frozen strawberries and sugar in a food processor or blender. Process until the fruit is roughly chopped.

With the processor running, slowly pour in the heavy cream until fully incorporated. Serve immediately, or freeze for up to one week.

I did stick mine in the freezer for a bit while we were having supper and it did harden up a little more.
Enjoy!
