January 11, 2018   |   Leave a Comment

In your mind, you are probably thinking Arizona is hot and sweaty. You are missing out if you haven’t visited Arizona before. The warmth, the sun, and most importantly the people are all excellent reasons to visit this beautiful state.  There are no harsh snow storms to worry about, during the winter months.

The weather is generally warm and the good kind of dry. The scenery Mother Nature has laid out is absolutely beautiful. Best of all, here are five really great reasons to visit Phoenix, Arizona.

Five Reasons to Visit Phoenix, Arizona

5 Reasons to Visit Phoenix, Arizona

#1. Baseball Lovers Unite!

The Cactus League, in Phoenix, Arizona, is home to spring training of fifteen different professional baseball teams. The Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Los Anglesey Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners and the Texas Rangers all practice beginning in February for the upcoming baseball season, all within ten miles of one another! So yes, baseball lovers should take pride in visiting Arizona. Even if you don’t love baseball, what an amazing chance to see a game and catch a glimpse of history in the making.

#2. South Mountain Park – A Visual Dream Come True

South Mountain Park is one of the largest city parks in the United States. Here you will be able to hike in the mountains, bike the trails, or even hop on a horse and travel the many equestrian trails. You will even see up to as many as 150 different species of animals. If you make it to lookout point you will have a view over Phoenix Valley. Beauty cannot even begin to explain South Mountain Park and what it can offer you visually.

#3. Hiking up Camelback Mountain

Located in the middle of Phoenix Valley is Camelback Mountain. This is another city park for the outdoorsy type, as it offers two difficult trails to hike. You can even schedule guided hikes with seasoned hikers that are full of fun knowledge of the area and are also certified in CPR and first aid. Hiking in the warm sun, close to Camelback Mountain, is an excellent reason to visit Phoenix, Arizona.

#4. Hole in the Rock, AKA, Papago Park

The most exciting thing about Papago Park is the Hole in the Rock. This rock formation has a giant hole in it and it’s something you’ll want to see with your own eyes. Once you make the climb, you are able to stand in the hole for a beautiful view of the skyline of downtown Phoenix, as well as other areas of the park.

#5. A Chance to Visit the Desert Botanical Garden

The beautiful Desert Botanical Garden is one like you have never seen. It boasts a large variety of cactuses, Mediterranean plants, statues, and significant water features. Do not worry about being stuck out in the hot, dry weather, as there are numerous shaded and rest areas to help you cool down.
