Finding activities for 2-year-olds is sometimes a challenge. They need a lot of supervision, but want to be in the middle of everything.

Food Activities for 2-Years-Olds
Simple kitchen activities for two-year-olds can be a ton of fun. Giving them simple tasks within each recipe can keep their little hands busy. The bonus of food activities is that it introduces them to new ingredients in a non-threatening way which could have positive effects on what they are willing to eat later. Obviously, you are cooking with a toddler, so please have safety and mind and supervise completely! These are things to make TOGETHER.
Fourth of July Strawberries – A new take on chocolate covered strawberries perfect for Independence Day gatherings. Just dip them in white chocolate and add blue sprinkles. Two-year-olds will love arranging strawberries and adding sprinkles.
Candy Popsicles – Fill your popsicle molds with lemonade and hide pieces of candy inside. These turn out delicous and are also really pretty. 2-year-olds can get creative adding the sweet candy middle. Parents will want to supervise toddlers eat this snack after freezing.
Pineapple Drink – A Disney inspired drink with lots of juices, pineapples and cool whip. Toddlers can help add ingredients and choose glasses to serve this yummy snack.
Fruit Leather – An easy to make recipe for all natural fruit leather your kids will love. This is a great alternative to sugary fruit snacks. Two-year-olds can help by washing fruit, smashing fruit, lining a cookie sheet with wax paper and then watching through the oven window throughout the day.
Rock Candy – Flavor your kids water in the summer to encourage drinking by adding in these rock candy sticks. A simple recipe that consists of sugar and water. 2-year-olds will find this food activity magical {as well as parents}!
Cookie Sandwiches – Made with Pillsbury funfetti cake mix, frosting and sprinkles, your kids will adore these cookie sandwiches. Toddlers can help make cake and the two-year-old decorating options are limitless.
Granola Bars – These delicous granola bars are a quick and easy breakfast. With no white sugar added, these are a healthier option than boxed bars. There is also a little extra recipe for carmel sauce to add on top for a special treat. 2-year-olds can help add ingredients and get a kick out of eating cookies for breakfast.
Doughnut Cake – In lieu of a cake at your next party, try this doughnut cake. Add a litte bunting banner on top and it’s a fun alternative to a traditional cake. We all know kids love doughnuts and 2-year-olds could actually stack this cake themselves. There is no right or wrong way!
