Let me tell you, I have TONS of do over moments! Seriously, some so big and crazy that I just won’t share them with anyone. Some moments like remembering to put the eggs in the cake I was making, packing underwear when we went on vacation, or just telling people how important they are when I had the chance.
I have this one moment that I just can’t get over, this moment happened years ago. Literally, like 20 years, when I was in middle school. I know, I am really old! It was a time when I thought “who” you hung out with was more important than “who” you WANTED to hang out with. Do you follow me? Sitting with the cool kids at lunch was what I thought was important. So, when I was asked to sit at the cool table at lunch, I jumped. I wanted to be a part of this group and feel like I was someone important.
Did I think about leaving my bff behind to sit alone?
Of course not, I wanted to to be in the “in” group. So, that is exactly what I did. I thought only of myself and left a TRUE friend alone. This moment could have easily ended our friendship, but I am lucky that she stuck by me. Am I friends with any of those other people today? Not really.
Thinking back, I wish I could be in that moment again and do it COMPLETELY over. So that friend would know how important she was then and still is today.

Your post made me cry….jerk 😉 I cannot belive you still think about this, it was so long ago. We were kids, we have had so many other important moments since then! (You know, like when I broke my arm and you laughed at me :P) You are my oldest and best friend, and I love ya! I am thankful everyday you are a part of my life.
Oh man… Those moments are the worst! Thank goodness for good forgiving friends right?!
