Trying to figure out the perfect thing to serve at your summer party? Me too! I had recently been trying to brainstorm ideas on what to serve at my little guy's upcoming birthday party.
I needed something that both adults and kids would enjoy and something that actually sounded good on a hot summer day. That's when I decided on a Dairy-Free Sundae Bar (keeping in mind I had several with allergies on the invite list)! This is perfect for summer parties or a summer get-together!![]()

When creating our sundae bar, we went with cashew and coconut-based frozen dessert (we used So Delicious® Dairy Free). It's vegan, dairy-free and food allergy-friendly (and also tastes amazing)! This fit the needs of our entire guest list. We had a variety of flavors to choose from including gourmet flavors like Salted Caramel, Cappuccino and Chocolate Cookies N' Cream.

You can't have a sundae bar without the toppings! In my opinion when it comes to toppings you simply can't have enough! I may get a little carried away, but there are so many choices I hate leaving any out.
For our fruit lovers, we had a fruit station with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, sliced peaches and pineapple chunks.

We had additional toppings too that included gluten-free chocolate chips, nuts, coconut, vegan marshmallows, sprinkles, a variety of crushed candy bars, non-dairy whipped topping like the So Delicious® Dairy Free CocoWhip Light and several different syrups to pour on! The more toppings you have to choose from the better!

I prefer putting my toppings in bowls and refilling the bowls when needed. I've also found that displaying the bowls on tiered trays makes your presentation look more polished and it takes up a lot less table space leaving more room for other things.

If you want to give your guests more options than just a bowl, make gluten-free cookies for cookie sandwiches or provide cones. Everyone loves treats and creating your own makes it even better!
To avoid having major cleanup after the party we used disposable dishes. I prefer the wooden spoons to plastic. We also provided our guests with several bowl options so they could decide on their own portion sizes.

The prep was so easy and took very little time and the cleanup was equally as easy. It was nice to be able to focus on the party more and less time on the food for a change! We will definitely be doing a sundae bar again in the future!
