Garlic Herb Butter

June 25, 2014   |   2 Comments

Everything’s better with butter.  Am I right?  I am a butter kind of girl through and through, I love my flavored butters almost as much as plain butter.  Last weekend I made a homemade Garlic Herb Butter using herbs I have growing on the back deck.  It turned out amazing and we ended up using on our steaks (watch for this recipe to come later in the week).

Making your own flavored butter is so easy, seriously we’re talking only two or three ingredients, depending on the flavor you make.  Check out the recipe on the next page!

How to Make Garlic Herb Butter

Ingredients You Need

  • 1/2 Cup Butter (1 stick)
  • 1/4 Cup Herbs (I used Cilantro, Chives and Parsley)
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic Salt

Instructions

This is the absolute easiest thing you will ever make, it almost doesn’t even need instructions.

Step 1 – Whip together the room temperature butter, herbs and garlic until it is all well mixed

Step 2 – Place the mixture on a piece of plastic wrap

Step 3 – Form the butter into a log

Step 4 – Refrigerate until it has hardened back up

Step 5 – Cut the butter into discs for topping your steak, potatoes or bread.   Enjoy!

We use a little tab of butter on top of our steaks after we’ve grilled them.  They really give the steak a little bit more flavor and like I said at the beginning of the post, everything really is better with butter.  These are words to live by.  Promise!
