Garlic Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

April 28, 2014   |   Leave a Comment

When you think of your favorite foods, do Mashed Potatoes make the list?  I would say that Garlic Parmesan Mashed Potatoes are in my top ten favorite foods ever.  Like, EVER!  That’s how yummy they are!  I can sit and eat these as a meal alone.  Not joking at all!

We’ve made Cheesy Ranch Potatoes and Garlic Mashed Potatoes but this new Parmesan Mashed Potatoes is my very favorite and adding the crunchy French Onions on top . . . . .  Heaven!

How to Make Garlic Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients You Need

Ingredients:

  • 3 Pounds Potatoes
  • 2 Tablespoons Kosher Salt
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 Cup Parmesan Cheese – or more if you love cheese like me
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • French Fried Onions

Instructions

Step 1 – Peel the potatoes if you wish, I like to leave the skin on ours.

Step 2 – Chop the potatoes into quarters and place in a pot of water.  Cover with water and bring to a boil.  Check the potatoes with a fork to see if they are soft and done cooking.

Step 3 – Drain the potatoes

Step 4 – Place the potatoes back in the pot and ad all the other ingredients (except the French Fried Onions), using a mixer whip the potatoes until they are smooth.

Step 5 – Top with the French Fried Onions and serve warm.

Don’t they look amazing?  I am in love with the French Fried Onions on top, they give the mashed potatoes a whole new texture and taste.

We have another yummy Mashed Potatoes Recipe for you if you like this one!  Our Cheesy Bacon and Ranch Mashed Potatoes are just as amazing
