Garlic Romano Breaded Chicken w/ John WM Macy’s CheeseSticks

September 16, 2016   |   2 Comments

I participated in Mom Blog Tour at the Summer Fancy Food Show on behalf of Wendy’s Bloggers and received John Wm. Macy’s CheeseSticks products to facilitate my review. #MomBlogTourFF
When it comes to making dinner for my family there’s two things that I always look for – easy recipes with great flavor.
I have two teen boys who love food but they also can be a little bit picky.  They really like traditional things like hamburgers, chicken and steak.  Not as much casseroles and it’s almost impossible to get vegetables in them these days.  I’m really hoping they outgrow this soon.

Earlier this summer when I went to New York City for the Fancy Food Show, I was introduced to an awesome brand with some fabulous people behind it.  John Wm Macy’s CheeseSticks products were new to me but something that I quickly fell in love with.

I have to admit, I love my crackers, crisps and chips so when I tried the CheeseSticks I was in heaven.  They have so many things going for them – the CheeseSticks come in so many different flavors with everything from Garlic Romano to Dutch Chocolate.
Not only are these delicious to use in recipes as a breading but they are also fabulous on cheese trays or snacks for the kids.  I really had to work hard to keep my boys from inhaling them all when I received my shipment of CheeSticks! They wanted to dive in and try all of them!

Because the John Wm Macy’s CheeseSticks have so many different flavor options, it makes breading chicken and changing up recipes simple.  One day we had a delicious Garlic Romano Chicken breast and the next a Dijon Swiss Chicken Tenders with a delicious Mustard dipping sauce.  My family loved them both!
Today I wanted to share my favorite recipe the Garlic Romano Breaded Chicken as well as a fun giveaway where you have a chance to win and try these delicious CheeseSticks yourself!

How to Make Garlic Romano Breaded Chicken

Ingredients
  • 4 Chicken Breast
  • 1 cup Zesty Italian Dressing
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 box of John Wm. Macy’s — Garlic Romano CheeseSticks
  • 1/3 cup Frying Oil
Marinade your chicken breasts in a zip lock bag with zesty Italian dressing for at least 30 minutes.
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large frying pan add your oil on a medium–high heat.
In a zip lock bag add 12 John Wm. Macy’s Garlic Romano CheeseSticks. Using a rolling pin to produce a bread crumb. –The smaller crumbs the better they stick to the chicken.
Assemble 3 wide, shallow bowls, such as pie plates, is an ideal setup for efficiently prepping each of your chicken breast before frying starts.  Add flour, salt and pepper to one bowl, beaten egg to another and your bread crumbs to the last pan. Dredge your chicken in flour, dip in egg wash and then press your chicken in the breading on each side. Test your oil with a piece of the breading to see if it sizzles when dropping breading in it. –If so, it’s hot and ready to place your breaded chicken in. Fry 1-2 minutes until light golden brown and flip frying another 1-2 minutes. Continue frying each breast one at a time until all are fried.
Place fried chicken on a baking sheet and bake in pre-heated oven for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
