Soft and Chewy Ginger Snap Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup fancy molasses
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sugar (on a plate)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Combine butter, sugar, egg, and molasses until mixed
  3. Combine dry ingredients
  4. Add dry mixture to wet and mix
  5. Roll into 1″ balls and roll through plate of sugar
  6. Place balls on cookie sheet
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes
  8. Let cool for approximately 3 minutes, then transfer to cooling rack
  9. Enjoy!
