What are your favorite flavor pairings? Do you mix strawberry with chocolate or cheese with bacon? This may sound weird to you but I love mushrooms and cheese, I have made many different stuffed mushroom recipes that have been amazing!
Today I thought I would share our Gouda Mac and Cheese with Mushrooms Recipe, it’s amazing! I decided to share one of my favorite flavor pairings because Lay’s has invited fans nationwide to submit their ideas for the next great Lay’s Potato Chip Flavor for a chance to win a $1 Million Grand prize (see rules) with their #DoUsAFlavor contest.
A judging panel made up of chefs, foodies and flavor experts will narrow down the contest submissions to four finalist flavors. The four finalist flavors will then be fully developed by Frito-Lay’s culinary experts and unveiled in summer 2014 and sold nationwide. From there, it will be up to fans to vote for the finalist flavor they want to see stay on store shelves, and the finalist behind the winning flavor will take home the million dollar grand prize.
New this year, fans are able to choose from three potato chip forms – Lay’s Original, Lay’s Kettle Cooked and/or Lay’s Wavy – for their flavor ideas.
We love our food here at The Taylor House and of course Macaroni and Cheese is one of our favorite meals. It’s one of those comfort foods that we seem to lean towards in the snowy Minnesota winter months. I thought making it a little bit fancier with Gouda Cheese and Mushrooms sounded delicious!
