Great Wolf Lodge Minnesota FUN for Everyone
Great Wolf Lodge Minnesota has fun for everyone! We spent Spring Break relaxing and having a blast with all the different activities from waterparks to rock walls in one location! It’s a kids DREAM trip with some special things for Mom & Dad too!
Great Wolf Lodge has been one of our favorite places to visit ever since our first time at the Wisconsin Dells location about four years ago. It’s one of those trips that my boys talk about wanting to revisit ALL THE TIME! When the new location opened in Bloomington, Minnesota we were thrilled! We’re in Minnesota a lot so this was perfect!
GREAT WOLF LODGE Minnesota FUN FOR EVERYONE
The Waterpark
My boys favorite part of Great Wolf Lodge Minnesota is, of course, the indoor waterpark. There’s everything from water slides to an indoor surf simulator! We end up spending hours at the pools and my kids are old enough to run and enjoy themselves without me! I love that their wristband is connected to our room charges so they can grab lunch and drinks when they need it!
There is absolutely something for everyone at the waterpark, make sure to bring your swimsuit even if you don’t usually get in the water – they have so many fun things for adults too!
Howler’s Peak Rock Course
The Howler’s Peak Rock Course looks like SO much fun for both kids and adults. It’s an aerial adventure with the safety of a climbing harness that lets you tackle obstacles like rope bridges and suspended pathways. The challenges range from easy to difficult, but the helpful staff was willing to help make the toughest challenges achievable.
Blake went through the course several times and loved it. The second level has a great place for adults or kids to sit and watch those on the course. There’s comfy chairs with a great spot for taking photos!
Rustic Ridge Climbing Wall
When we walked through Great Wolf Lodge Minnesota, one of the first things you notice is the large rock wall. This was the first thing my kids wanted to do after we dropped our bags in our room. Blake was nervous but wanted to give it a shot and started to freak out half way up the wall but finished! The second time up he was a PRO and ended up having the fasted time of the day!!!
Blake made it to the top of Rustic Ridge in 18 seconds flat and was the top of the board for the entire day!! Believe me, we checked several times to make sure he hadn’t been knocked out of the lead!
Oliver’s Mining Co.
Kids get the experience of mining for gold and jewels at Oliver’s Mining Co. It’s so much fun to try some mining the “old fashioned” way to search for treasures in the hidden in his paydirt. Each kid starts with a bag full of paydirt that has gemstones and minerals waiting to be discovered inside it. A handy identification card lets the kids figure out what type of stones and minerals they find before they are taken home in a collection bag.
Honestly, I thought my 12 year old guy might be too old for this activity but it turned out to be one of his favorites!
Northern Lights Arcade
We are big arcade fans and had a blast in the Northern Lights Arcade! We especially loved the carnival style games and did our best to rack up a lot of tickets to use for some awesome prizes. There is a great variety of games from Skeeball to auto racing – really something for everyone.
My boys spent most of their time at the auto races while I played skeeball!
MagiQuest
Our #1 activity within Adventure Park was definitely MagiQuest! We became totally immersed in the quests to help the pixies, defeat the Goblin King and do battle with the fierce dragon! With MagiQuest you first choose a special magic wand and then search Great Wolf Lodge for clues, treasure chests, crystals and other items you need to complete your quests.
This was our third time playing MagiQuest and it’s still just as fun as the first time! My son and husband love the challenge and end up playing together and having a blast!
Wine Down Service
This was MY favorite part of our stay at Great Wolf Lodge! There’s this awesome service for adults that’s called the Wine Down Service. Basically you pick a time that your kids will likely be going to bed and have a nice wine and cheese tray delivered to the room. You’re able to select which wine you want as well as a sweet tray or cheese tray! It’s genius and the perfect end to a day!!
Great Wolf Lodge Minnesota is the perfect spring break, summer vacation or even a winter great away! It’s conveniently located near Mall of America and just minutes from the airport! If you’re headed to Minnesota this summer or have thought about a vacation there – it’s the perfect location to stay and play!
