Hi Taylor House friends! Im so happy to be here with yall today! Im going to share one of my favorite things ever.. social media! Well, besides my kiddos of course!

My name is Kelley and I blog over at the Grant life. I share all kinds of awesome-ness over there.. like recipes, crafts, a weekly link party and a ton of stories about my kids. [Well its awesome in my mind. ha!] Those two kiddos are my babies.. Ryley and Avery. I am so lucky to be a stay at home mom and hang out with them all day.
I started blogging over a year ago and I love everything about it.. especially the social media side of it all. Im going to share with yall some of my favorite social media sites.. and how they can help YOU!
Facebook –
Duh to the duh.. right? Everyone uses Facebook. Its one of the easiest ways to reach your friends, families and fans! Make sure to use pictures to really engage your readers.. and keep an eye out for changes. Facebook is making it harder to connect with your fans.
Twitter –
Oh Twitter! I love you! No.. seriously I do. I love how easy twitter is to use and how fast you can connect with people. It can be really beneficial if you have engaged readers. What the heck is an engaged reader? Well someone that in actively involved in your conversations, responds to your questions and clicks on links that you suggest. Basically they are the best readers to have.
Ahh.. the land of someday projects! I love this site because it truly is inspiring. I can spend hours just looking at what other people have pinned. Pinterest can be a great way to drive traffic to your site if you have content that people are interested in.
This little guy is my new favorite. Its like pinterest but cooler. Whhhhhaat?? Ok hear me out of this one before you tar and feather me. With Pinterest you can pin, repin and like a post without ever going to the original website that the link came from. Or you may be repinning a post that isnt from the original source altogether. With StumbleUpon everything that you ‘like’ comes from the original source and gives them a page view. Pinterest is awesome.. but it doesnt guarantee page views the way SU does.
Klout –
Klout is a site that measures how influential you are to others. There is some complex algorithm that uses your social media pressence to come up with a score. You can give people klout [known as k+] but the best way to increase your score is to be active in other social media sites. That score is good for perks [aka free stuff] and nice to show off.
Google+ –
Kinda like Facebook but not. Im not 100 percent sold on Google+ and what it can do for me so Im going to just mention it and move on.
Its an easy way to organize, find and read all your favorite blogs. Its a nice neat package and you get one email at the end of the day with all your favorite sites. I like it, I use it. You to gain a BlogLovin’ following first and then you should start seeing some decent page views.
Are you still with me? I know thats a lot of information to take in. You dont have to use all social media, especially if you are just starting out. I would pick one or two to focus your attention on and learn as much on them as possible. And if you need any help with any of these sites, let me know! [Shameless plug coming your way!] I am a virtual assistant and one of things I do with that is teach people how to use social media to their advantage! Its something I love and I would love to help you.
Also.. here are all my social media sites and my blog in case you still like me after this post. Thanks Chrissy for letting me share this with your readers today! I hope to talk to yall soon! [Ps.. all my pictures came from their respective sites. Cool? Cool.]
