Halloween Party Favors: Homemade Candy Bars

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Rice Krispies®. As always, all opinions are my own.

I can’t believe that this is my youngest son’s last year of Halloween parades, parties and maybe even Trick -or – Treating. He starts middle school next year without all these extra parties in school, that means this year we’re blowing it out.

He’s trying to find the perfect costume for his party, something that not everyone is being. We’re also making special party favors and treats for the class, did you know you can make Homemade Crunch Bars with just two ingredients? We’ve been making these for a couple years and this year we added a little fun twist to give them some Halloween fun.

Here’s the scoop, this recipe is literally melted chocolate and our favorite Rice Krispies®.  That’s it! Add some edible eye sprinkles and you have a fun Halloween treat that everyone is going to want. The Rice Krispies® give the candy bar the crunch that makes it fun and delicious.

The first time we made these candy bars we tried using crushed up pretzels, but it wasn’t quite right. Using Rice Krispies® was exactly what we needed! It gives the candy bar the crunch that we’re used to having in a candy bar!

We put each candy bar in a treat bag and tied it with a cute Halloween ribbon, making each bar the perfect individual treat to hand out to the class. My kids loved having the fun edible eyes in the candy bars.  You can’t buy treats like this at the store so making them at home with a fun twist will be a huge hit with your kids too!
